I think that now it’s the perfect time to start prepping the Christmas sweets. So we won’t have to go nuts just few days before Christmas and actually enjoy the holiday mood. Hopefully. Because that’s something I’m really aiming for this year. How is it in your household? Do you stress about Christmas and try to do everything last minute? Or do you stay completely calm and let things be? I have to admit that I’m usually trying to do everything just few days ahead (as I usually work till the last day). Clean our home, shop for all the food, then prep all the food, get the gifts, decorate the tree… It can be quite a lot if you are working (taking care of your family, … you name it) to do all the extra stuff in just few days. So why not make it easier this year?
I have to say this is my favourite sugar-free but sweet recipe I made so far. A total must have this Christmas. And it’s so easy. And so much better for you than the store bought version. Which is full of refined sugar, palm oil, skim milk, whey powder and artificial flavours by the way. Not nice. Definitely not healthy. Anyway, why not to try something healthier this Christmas? These no baked Coconut Snowballs are super simple, free of gluten, sugar and dairy, but still delivering the desired taste of holidays. You can make it for a little treat after the Christmas meal or even as a healthy gift for your friends. Continue reading
I already said it here several times, but I just can’t stress enough about how my relationship with food changed over last few months. And how impressed I am by that. Mostly that I’m grateful to the Whole30 for this change. Yeah, I think I just need to say it few more times. But it’s funny because during the program I didn’t feel like there is a difference. I felt like I was already eating healthy before that anyway. Yet now, six months after, I wouldn’t even look at some things I used to eat before.
In my family Sundays are usually saved for a big family lunch. We would get together and spend hours talking and eating and simply having a beautiful day. The meal would almost always include some nibbles to start, then good healthy soup, hearty main meal and of course a dessert. And that’s why I chose this day to share a new dessert recipe with you guys. Because even if I am halfway around the world now, I’m always thinking about my family and amazing days like these. And all the good food we had together 🙂 However, as you probably noticed already, this blog is mainly about real food and healthy choices. So these Paleo Custard Tarts are no exception. They would make for a perfect treat after a Sunday lunch which won’t make you feel bad, because they are low in carbs, high in protein and also dairy free.
Happy Monday everyone! What about a little treat for surviving the first day of the week? I think we deserve it, right? And I know it’s been a wile since I posted a dessert recipe. Actually it’s been a while since I posted any recipe. But after applying for the Partner visa and waiting for the bridging visas to start I’m finally allowed to work here in Australia. And I am actually finally working! And it feels great to have a schedule back in my life. But with a work schedule I just need to make a system in my personal time. So sorry for those of you who are waiting for the new recipes. I promise to do better in the future and spend more time on the blog again and post more often.

And you don’t have to have a bad conscience at all because these are totally gluten and dairy-free and using fruit and a tiny bit of maple syrup instead of sugar.
