Would you like to add more veggies to your breakfast game, but can’t really handle them raw in the morning? Trust me, you are not alone here. I would probably get sick if I was supposed to chew on half of raw capsicum for brekky. However, like with a wave of a magic wand, I can eat almost the whole thing if roasted. Preferably as a part of hash. Like in this Beetroot and Sweet Potato Hash.
It’s still such warm weather here in Australia which for me means lots of BBQ and lighter meals. That’s why I made the Sticky Ginger Chicken Wings yesterday (we were so hungry that I just wasn’t able to make pictures, but I will be definitely making the wings soon again) and this Asian Style Coleslaw on a side. At least the salad is served cold so I could snap a couple pics before dinner.

I think breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. OK, I know that science in the last few years proved that this dogma is not actually so correct. But I like to stick with it.
If a poor brekky doesn’t gratify my fussy morning palates I will be most likely cranky till lunch. God forbid that I wouldn’t have any breakfast for some reason. That’s just dark…
Not sure if it’s because it’s getting really cold here in Czech (seriously, it’s at least minus 10 everyday, can’t wait for the Thailand weather), but I crave spicy foods all the time now. I sprinkle chillies on every possible thing these days. And I could just swim in Sriracha. So to satisfy my wild appetites I made an extra big batch of my Avocado Jalapeno Dip. It has a nice spicy kick, yet pairs perfectly with many of my favorite dishes.
Do you know anyone who liked brussel sprouts as a kid? Because I seriously can’t think of one single person. I personally used to hate them when I was small. I actually know few people who “can’t do it” even in their adulthood. Which is really sad, because brussel sprouts rock.

I had never tried Shepherd’s pie before I went to Canada few years ago. I hadn’t even heard of it. Wait what? Yeah, sounds unbelievable. I know.
But as I just love to try everything new it didn’t take long and I found this fixed star of western cuisine. And totally fell in love with it.
